Are you a vampire?

Why do you write vampire articles?

I have become very familiar with the topic of vampirism through my interaction with those who identify themselves as real vampires. Most importantly, I think that more voices of reason are needed in the community. My articles are fairly down to earth and as well grounded as they can be given the subject matter.

Why the name Darker Than Thou?

It’s a tongue in cheek reference poking fun at the Goths and denizens of the dark who are not genuine people. It came up in a discussion about how there are fakes and poseurs around. Instead of being themselves they find out what the stereotype of what they want to be is and then change themselves to fit whatever label they have chosen. They carry on their lives pretending. When we thought about these kinds of individuals and how they have the attitudes of being somehow more goth than anyone else, we came up with darker than thou. I thought it’d be a good name for a site, so I went with it.

What if I am offended by the name?

It will not be changing so you may leave if you wish or write an angst filled poem about it. It might help to recognize the spirit in which the name came about, and that is in humor – it may be humor only genuine people can appreciate.

Does Darker Than Thou have a history?

It was born from my old site Dark Dreams, which was hosted on angelfire and later on losthaven.org as a sub domain. The time was right to get my own domain and launch my site with a new name and look.

Can you interpret my dreams?

That is up to you mostly. I can offer feedback and encourage you to form your own opinion by building your own resources. No one is more qualified than you to interpret your dreams. See the dream section for more information.

Can you give me a love spell?

No. Love should not be messed with.

Can you cast a spell for me?

Can I? Maybe. Will I? No. Do your own magical homework.

Can you hook me up with any vampires?

No, this isn’t a dating service.

Turn the whole story into an off broadway musical and use the proceeds for a good health care professional. (You can call the production the La La Land Monologues)

Can you put me in touch with Tristan Locke?

Unfortunately I cannot. Tristan Locke lives in my dreamspace. (So unless you know how to get there you are out of luck) ;) His journal entries are conversations I have had with him. So though Tristan Locke is a very vivid personage in my dreamspace, he is fiction. In other words, the characters and events in his journal are ficticious. Any simlarity to real persons, living or dead, are coincidental and not intended by the author.
